This thesis explores how adaptive reuse of industrial architecture can foster creative community engagement through hybrid hospitality-art spaces. The design draws inspiration from Buffalo’s industrial heritage, blending raw materials and open spaces to create a modern, collaborative art hub. Nestled in the historic Marine A Silo at Silo City, this art residency reimagines industrial heritage as a vibrant space for creativity and cultural exchange. Blending art studios, residencies, a gallery, and social spaces like a bar, restaurant, and library, it serves both artists and travelers. The design fosters global artistic connection and collaboration, transforming the silo into a living canvas that unites history, creativity, and hospitality.
